Job summary

The University of Cambridge’s Connectomics Group invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Zoology to join a Wellcome-funded project on the first mosquito brain connectome.

The successful candidate will work on circuit reconstruction and meta annotation, interact with teams at Harvard Medical School and MRC LMB, and may help develop open-source tools for processing, annotation and analysis of connectomics data.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience or related field is required.
• Experience with EM connectomics data is highly desirable.
• Background in insect neuroscience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead manuscript preparation and data interpretation.
• Develop open-source tools for processing, annotation, and analysis of connectomics data.
• Collaborate with Harvard team and local experimental groups.
• Contribute to training new team members and project management.
