Job summary

The University of Cambridge’s Department of Zoology invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Connectomics Group led by Greg Jefferis. Qualifications

  • Background in insect neuroscience and experience with programmatic handling of large datasets.
  • Prior experience with EM connectomics data and/or mosquito neurobiology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in circuit reconstruction and systematic meta-annotation (especially cell types) of the dataset.
  • Perform comparisons with Drosophilid connectomes and contribute to manuscript preparation.
  • Develop open source tools for processing, annotation and analysis of connectomics data.
  • Participate in training new team members and contribute to project management.
  • Collaborate with partner groups at Harvard Medical School and other institutions.
