Job summary

The University of Oxford is seeking a post holder to join a Wellcome Trust-funded arbovirology group reporting to the Principal Investigator, Dr Niluka Goonawardane. The role delivers a defined programme of work using advanced CL-3 methods and ex vivo model systems, and contributes to day-to-day management of the research programme.

Experience with iPSC-derived neuronal models, in vivo experimental systems, and data analysis would be advantageous. The post is full-time and fixed-term for 2 years.

About the role

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Dr Niluka Goonawardane, the post holder will be an integral member of a Wellcome Trust-funded group undertaking internationally competitive arbovirology research. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a defined programme of work using advanced Containment Level 3 (CL-3) experimental approaches and ex vivo model systems.

In addition to conducting high-quality research, the post holder will contribute to the day-to-day management of the research programme and provide guidance and informal supervision to junior researchers and students. Experience with iPSC-derived neuronal models, in vivo experimental systems, and data analysis techniques would be advantageous.

This post is full time and fixed-term for 2 years.
