Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Post Doctoral research Fellow in Quantum Information (Fixed Term) to join the Mathematical Sciences group at University Park. The role focuses on entanglement theory and a newly funded project exploring entanglement witnesses in heterogeneous reactions.

You will carry out original international‑class research, develop proposals, publish papers, and help write grant bids while coordinating activities with collaborators in the UK and US.

Qualifications

PhD (or near completion) in mathematics, physics or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of quantum information theory and quantum entanglement.
Experience in theoretical or mathematical research in quantum physics or related area.

Responsibilities

Undertake original research of international excellence in quantum information and entanglement theory.
Develop research objectives and proposals for own or collaborative research area.
Prepare papers for publication and present at conferences and workshops.
Identify opportunities and assist in writing bids for research grant applications.
Provide support and supervision to staff and junior team members.
Coordinate project meetings, workshops and resources across UK/US teams.
