Job summary

The Francis Crick Institute in London seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a project on Hofstenia's unique diffuse brain. You will combine experimental and computational approaches to uncover architectural and computational features of circuit tiles and their role in distributed computation and behaviour.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience or related field required.
• Strong quantitative background and track record in neural data analysis.
• Experience with neural recordings and coding for data analysis.
• Familiarity with genetic methods to label, record from, and perturb cells.

Responsibilities

• Lead a research project on Hofstenia's distributed neural circuits.
• Develop experimental and analysis methods to visualize circuit architecture and neural activity.
• Ensure reproducibility and thorough documentation of findings.
• Collaborate with Crick lab members and possibly external collaborators.
• Mentor graduate students where appropriate.
