Job summary

The Francis Crick Institute invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the P Znamenskiy lab in London. The role focuses on understanding cortical neuron function and involves multiphoton calcium imaging and molecular connectomics to relate gene identity to activity in vivo.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Neuroscience or related field with hands-on experience in in vivo calcium imaging or electrophysiology and strong data analysis skills in Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience or a related field.
• Strong data analysis experience in Python and/or MATLAB.
• Hands-on expertise in in vivo calcium imaging or electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Develop project ideas and research directions.
• Design and plan experiments.
• Carry out experimental protocols including in vivo calcium imaging and behavioural experiments.
• Analyse and interpret experimental findings.
• Present findings at meetings and contribute to manuscripts.
