Physics World invites applications for a Postdoctoral position focused on the fabrication and characterization of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconductors. The role involves designing, fabricating and testing GaN, Ga2O3, SiC and diamond devices, with access to a state-of-the-art cleanroom and extensive testing facilities in Bristol.

You will develop TCAD models to complement experiments, work on device design, and contribute to thermal/electric-field analysis using software tools such as

Competenze

• PhD or equivalent in physics, materials science or engineering.
• Ideally a strong publication record in relevant fields.
• Experience in semiconductor device processing/fabrication is essential (photolithography/laser writer or e-beam lithography).
• Desirable experience with LabVIEW, TCAD simulation and physics-based modelling.
• Willingness to co-support PhD students.
