Job summary

The University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science, seeks a motivated experimentalist for a full-time Research Assistant in Quantum Computing Control Systems within Professor Ares’ group in Central Oxford. The externally funded 8-month fixed-term post will focus on modeling analog control systems and developing digital twins of quantum devices to study scaling impacts.

• Model the physical and control architecture of quantum devices and create simulators/digital twins.
• Develop machine learning models to study scaling effects in quantum control systems.
• Collaborate with academic teams, industrial partners and national laboratories on the QCI3 initiative.
