Job summary

The University of Reading's Energy-Meteorology Research Group (EMRG) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist focused on Climate Resilience for Energy Systems. The appointee will conduct innovative research on climate risk assessment for UK and European energy systems and help co-supervise students and co-teach courses.

You will publish in open access journals and engage with energy-sector stakeholders, developing new tools and capabilities within EMRG.

Qualifications

• Strong scientific analytical skills relevant to mathematical and physical sciences.
• Strong scientific computing and programming skills.
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Conduct innovative research aligned with assessment of climate risk in UK and European energy systems.
• Co-supervise students and co-teach relevant courses; develop new tools and capabilities.
• Engage with energy-sector stakeholders and disseminate work via publications, datasets, code and conferences.
