Job summary
The Bartlett, UCL invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant to join an interdisciplinary project funded through the UCL Grand Challenges Climate Crisis programme. The postholder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction with collaborators in Geography and international partners.
You will undertake literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, semi-structured interviews, and thematic/comparative analysis, and support ethics and data management.
Qualifications
- MSc or equivalent in climate change, environmental or infrastructure governance, geography, planning, public policy and administration, development studies, political science, or closely related discipline.
- Experience in qualitative social-science research, including structured literature or document reviews, stakeholder mapping or engagement, semi-structured interviews, and thematic or comparative analysis.
- Ability to synthesise complex evidence and communicate research clearly to academic and non-academic audiences.
Responsibilities
- Undertake structured reviews of academic and policy evidence.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and semi-structured interviews.
- Perform thematic and comparative analysis.
- Support research ethics and data-management processes.
- Liaise with project collaborators and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a stakeholder workshop, governance framework, and partner-facing briefs.
