Job summary

The University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral research scientist to advance deep learning methods for multi-omic data integration and disease phenotyping.

You will bridge research and implementation, develop novel computer vision algorithms for tissue analysis, and co-create robust, reusable tools with software engineers, funded by Wellcome Trust.

The initial contract is 18 months with possible extension subject to funding.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil or near completion.
• Extensive background in computer vision or biomedical image analysis.
• Strong technical expertise in deep learning for image analysis and multimodal data.

Responsibilities

• Bridge research and implementation by translating prototypes into practical tools.
• Develop deep learning models for segmentation, classification and multimodal tissue analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data platform developers to ensure robustness and reproducibility of tools.
