Imperial College London in London, UK invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Antibody Engineering and Directed Evolution to advance its antibody-engineering platform. You will build and screen antibody and nanobody libraries, run selection campaigns, and analyze deep sequencing data to relate features to properties.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering or a related discipline, with a focus on protein engineering.
  • Practical experience in molecular biology and in vitro directed evolution (e.g., yeast or ribosome display).
  • Practical experience in deep sequencing and associated data analysis.
  • Knowledge of protein science and structural bioinformatics; ability to manipulate protein sequences and structural data.
  • Collaborative teamwork and clear communication of complex ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen the experimental pipeline by integrating high-throughput directed evolution with deep sequencing and data-driven analysis.
  • Build and screen antibody and nanobody libraries; plan and run selection campaigns.
  • Analyze sequencing data to relate molecular features to measured properties; feed insights into computational models.
  • Collaborate with group members and external labs; publish in journals and present at meetings; supervise PhD/Master's students.
