Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Radstock on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role is 37 hours per week across five days, with a rotating shift including Sundays at Bath Delivery Office.

You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather. Training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 07:49/16:30*

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
