Royal Mail Group in Enniskillen is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a permanent role. You’ll deliver letters and parcels, work outdoors, and join a rotating shift including weekends. Full training, a uniform, and a red van are provided. A full manual UK driving licence is required and overtime is paid.

Expect 30 hours per week, Mon-Sat schedules, and a pay rate of £13.68 per hour with monthly pay and potential overtime. Suitable for active community-minded individuals.

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 30:00 hours per week - working 5days in 6 across Monday - Saturday - 08:45/16:45*

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)


• Driving a Royal Mail van daily


• Working in all weather conditions


• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels


• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)


• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment


• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags


• Reliable and self-motivated


• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment


• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service


• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
