Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie to deliver letters and parcels in Craigavon. You will work 30 hours per week over five days in seven, including some weekends, with a rota for hours and routes. Full training, a uniform and a red Royal Mail van are provided.

Applicants must have a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) and be physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs, and lift mailbags. The role offers outdoor work, independence, and community interaction.

Location: Craigavon Delivery Office, BT64 1HA

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – Between 08:15 & 09:15/Between 16:15 & 18:15

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays as per the rota.

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
