Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Coventry on a temporary basis for Royal Mail, with a late October start. The role involves sorting at the delivery office, delivering letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle, and using handheld devices to capture signatures and navigate routes.

You will walk up to 8 miles daily, lift bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg, and work varied shifts Monday to Friday with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred) and holding it for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
