Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Truro on a temporary contract. The role pays £13.69 per hour and expects 30 to 40 hours per week with shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, plus weekend availability.

You will sort mail, load a vehicle, and use a handheld device for navigation and signature capture. Deliveries are made on foot or by vehicle, covering up to eight miles daily.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (six points max; clean licence preferred).
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Reliable and able to work unsupervised outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.

• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
