Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Swindon on a temporary, full-time basis to support Royal Mail. The role offers £13.69 per hour for 40 hours weekly, with shifts 08:30–16:30, and requires weekend availability.

You will sort at the delivery office, then navigate routes with a handheld device and deliver letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle. Expect walking up to 8 miles daily, lifting mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, and working outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (points 6 max, clean licence preferred).
• Delivery or driving experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Your day begins at the local delivery office, where you sort and load mail before navigating routes using a handheld device for signature capture. The role involves delivering letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle, covering up to eight miles daily, while lifting mail bags weighing up to 16kg. You will work independently outdoors, providing excellent customer service throughout your rounds.
