Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Swindon on a temporary, full-time basis to support Royal Mail. The role offers £13.69 per hour for 40 hours weekly, with shifts 08:30–16:30, and requires weekend availability.

You will sort at the delivery office, then navigate routes with a handheld device and deliver letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle. Expect walking up to 8 miles daily, lifting mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, and working outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (points 6 max, clean licence preferred).
• Delivery or driving experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and by vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
