Job description

Research Fellow Position in Human Nutrition

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to join Professor Philip Calder’s research group in the School of Human Development and Health, Faculty of Medicine. This is a limited-time position to complete a systematic review.

Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD or equivalent in Human Nutrition or a related discipline.
• Experience in conducting systematic reviews.
• Highly motivated with the ability to independently design and execute systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
• Interest in the interface between diet and health.
• Evidence of publishing in peer-reviewed journals is desirable.

Project Details:

This project, funded by the i-NutriLife Diet and Health Open Research Innovation Hub, offers an opportunity to lead a systematic review on the handling and physiological effects of oral butyrate.

Support and Selection Process:

• Collegial environment with mentoring and career development support from the PI.
• Interviews are likely to be held in June/July 2025.
• The successful candidate can start as soon as possible after the interview.
