Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for a specialist Post-16 SEN provision in Beckton, supporting young people with severe autism and complex needs. The role involves 1:1 support, de-escalation of challenging behaviours, and assisting with personal care and non-verbal communication. Experience in SEN is essential; Enhanced DBS preferred.

The position offers consistent full-time work and ongoing support from a dedicated SEN recruitment consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with complex SEN and ASD.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques.
• Willingness to provide intimate personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students aged 16+ with severe ASD and complex needs.
• Managing physically challenging behaviour using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Providing intimate personal care, including toileting and changing.
• Delivering 1:1 support and working alongside specialist teaching staff.
• Supporting non-verbal communication, emotional regulation and independence.
