REESON Education is recruiting for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a Post-16 provision in Edgware. This full-time, long-term role starts after October half term and focuses on helping students with SLD and ASD develop functional, life and employability skills.

You will work closely with educators to support practical learning, promote independence and build confidence in daily activities.

Competenze

Experience working with SEN in a specialist setting.
Experience supporting Post-16 students with SLD/ASD.
Interest in developing functional, life and independence skills.
Ability to support practical learning environments and classroom activities.
Calm and consistent approach when working with young people.

Mansioni

Work closely with Post-16 students with SLD, ASD and additional learning needs
Support students with their functional and life skills
Help students develop greater independence in everyday situations
Support learning around travel training, communication, community access and employability
Assist students with practical activities and work-related learning
Provide classroom and individual support where required
Help students access a varied and practical Post-16 curriculum
Build positive relationships with students and encourage progress
Work alongside teachers and other education professionals to help students achieve their individual targets
