Job description

Learning Support Assistant (Post-16) – Full Time
Based in King's Cross, London
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
£14.61 per hour, increasing to £22.32 per hour

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our inclusive further education college in King’s Cross. This is a full-time position only — please note that part-time applications will not be considered.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in supporting post-16 learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, who are accessing mainstream education and a range of vocational courses. The successful candidate will assist in promoting independence and providing academic support, particularly in Maths and English up to GCSE level.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting learners with SEND (essential)
  • Manual handling training (essential)
  • Confident supporting learners with Maths and English at GCSE level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to working full time, Monday to Friday (9am–5pm)
