Job summary

Durham County Council is expanding its Positive Behavioural Support Team in County Durham and has a part-time, 28-hour-per-week vacancy based in Barnard Castle. The role involves supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in a specialist day service.

You’ll implement behaviour support plans, monitor progress, and contribute to a safe, empowering environment with an emphasis on independence and informed choice. DBS required.

Qualifications

• You’ll need experience in care or support, professional or personal.
• DBS Enhanced Disclosure required and successful applicants will obtain one.
• Patience, empathy and understanding of behaviours that challenge are essential.
