Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our PBS team at Freeways who support adults with complex needs and learning disabilities in Bristol.
You will support individuals to continue to develop their independence, as they are looking to access the community, increase their socialising and to go on occasional holidays and trips. You will be supported by and working with a friendly and pro-active team. The services are located close to several local bus routes.
Positive Behaviour Support Assistants will identify the needs of the individuals we support, who communicate their needs through behaviours by working in a person centred way and finding positive and healthy means of fulfilling those needs
Responsibilities:
To provide support to our tenants, promoting individuality, identity, rights, choice, privacy, independence, dignity and respect through informed choice.
To respond to the particular needs of the tenants in relation to the nature of their support needs (including mental or physical health).
Contribute toward the development and implementation of PBS plans, strategies and risk management.
Support the tenant to achieve positive outcomes and to enable them to participate within their local community.
Work within policies and procedures to administer medication as required
When required, support the tenant with domestic tasks and maintaining their tenancy.
To complete and maintain written records.

Benefits:
£14.40 per hour
28 days (pro-rata) annual leave entitlement (including public holidays), increases up to 35 days (pro-rata) with length of service
