Job summary

Emerald Group in London is seeking a qualified actuary to lead pricing for the Portfolio solutions division, covering multiple classes. You will network with senior stakeholders across the business to shape strategy and ensure profitable portfolios.

You will drive pricing governance, develop profitability studies, and assist in business planning and capital parameterisation for the division. The role requires strong data manipulation and technical modelling skills within General Insurance

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with pricing experience in General Insurance.
• Experience collecting and analyzing pricing data and reporting.
• Ability to evolve pricing standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Work across opportunities that cover multi line propositions and support Underwriters to develop more profitable portfolios through: Pricing assessment of existing and new portfolio opportunities
• Assist in the collection and research of pricing data, and then in the development of analysis and reporting of pricing data
• Evolve pricing standards as per market requirements (e.g.: Lloyds BPPF, consistency with AIG)
• Drive and embed pricing governance within the team (developing clear audit trails, setting governance priorities)
• Introduce new profitability studies which define how the team approaches planning going forwards for this segment
• Lead the business planning of the division and assist in parameterising the capital model.
