To be successful as a Portfolio Planning Manager, you should have experience with:
- Creating and implementing standardized planning processes and methodologies aligned with controls and governance standards that support the delivery of successful projects.
- Monitoring project performance, including tracking progress, budgets, resource plans, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and reporting on project status to senior management, supported by up-to-date project documentation.
- High accuracy and attention to detail in data management and project reporting, using tools like spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and Navigator.
Additional highly valued skills include:
- Experience in Financial Services, ideally Banking.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivots, formulas, VLOOKUPS, macros, etc.
- Experience with regulatory projects, particularly in financial crime transformation.
You may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change management, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills, and technical expertise.
This role will be based in either the London or Glasgow office.

To support the delivery of successful change within the portfolio by aligning processes with controls and governance standards and ensuring activities support strategic objectives.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate portfolio prioritization and ensure compliance with control frameworks.
- Support effective portfolio governance and timely, data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio performance and report to senior management.
- Manage the Book of Work, prioritization, and dependencies.
- Oversee change delivery, ensuring policy compliance and control maturity.
- Review and escalate risks and issues, supporting their resolution.
- Engage stakeholders through clear communication and effective processes.
- Empower resources and leverage data to drive accountability.
- Provide best practice guidance on controls and governance, including training.
