Job summary

An established and growing specialist contractor in Warrington is seeking an Operations Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of refurbishment, planned maintenance and building improvement projects. You will lead multiple projects, manage teams and supply chains, and drive commercial performance to meet KPIs and client expectations.

The role offers ownership of operational delivery, close collaboration with senior management, and opportunities to contribute to the Warrington operation's

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple refurbishment and planned maintenance contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability.
• Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors and supply chains.
• Solid budgeting, margins, WIP and cost control knowledge.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of health & safety and construction compliance.
• Experience in social housing, refurbishment, retrofit or remediation is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple refurbishment and planned works projects from mobilisation to completion.
• Manage operational teams, supervisors, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Own operational and commercial performance across portfolio.
• Monitor budgets, margins, WIP, valuations and cost-to-complete.
• Ensure projects meet KPIs, SLAs, programmes and quality standards.
• Resource planning, scheduling, productivity and project completions.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support contract growth and opportunities with existing clients.
• Ensure health & safety and compliance across all projects.
• Collaborate with commercial and senior management to drive performance.
