About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with teams regionally and globally across the entire L&H business.

In your role, you will:

1. Be the key partner for portfolio monitoring priorities in specific Continental European markets to identify and monitor key portfolio risks.
2. Carry out proactive monitoring of the L&H portfolio and execute management actions including in-force rate reviews and material recaptures.
3. Perform deep dive investigations to understand the drivers of performance and lead the execution of relevant actions.
4. Structure and lead strategic projects with partners across L&H Re.
5. Use data analytics and visualizations to communicate portfolio performance, highlighting areas of concern and insights that steer business decisions.
6. Analyze and interpret financial results under various valuation methods used within Swiss Re.
7. Support the Chief Underwriting Officer in reviewing Business Unit Reserving Committee materials.
8. Drive initiatives to further embed and optimize portfolio monitoring and management actions under IFRS.
9. Provide training and coaching to support personal growth and team objectives.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

1. Newly qualified Actuaries or with some post-qualification experience in insurance/reinsurance.
2. Inquisitive, pragmatic, and with a commercial mindset.
3. Knowledgeable about valuation methods including IFRS17.
4. Strong in financial analysis, capable of interpreting results and suggesting actions.
5. Data-savvy, with experience in coding and analytics tools like R and Power BI (asset).
6. Independent, creative thinkers with negotiation skills and a constructive challenge attitude.
7. Strategic yet hands-on, focused on delivering value.
8. Excellent networkers, able to build positive relationships internally and externally.
9. Fluent in an additional European language (a plus).
