Exciting opportunity to join a recently formed portfolio monitoring team at one of the leading European alternative managers.

JOB OVERVIEW

· We’re looking to hire a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst to join our recently created Portfolio Monitoring team, within the private credit investment team.

· The role involves key portfolio monitoring processes across the Private Credit business (Western European focused lending business).

· Ability to interact and partner with borrowers, the investment team, finance, and investor relations team is an important aspect of the role.

· The successful candidate will be execution-focused and actively involved in process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly portfolio company data collection for internal (e.g., portfolio monitoring, risk, financing) and external (e.g., investors) reporting, in partnership with outsourced data monitoring team (when applicable).
• Assist in preparing and coordinating quarterly portfolio monitoring reports ahead of portfolio reviews, including supporting monitoring excel reports. It is important to understand and analyze financial models to challenge reported financials.
• Support the development of Hayfin’s reporting framework to shape and implement best-in-class processes supporting business growth.
• Support portfolio level reporting and analytics, conducting deep dives to understand industry or portfolio trends, ensuring broader themes are considered during portfolio construction.
• Serve as a key business partner for asset-level data ad-hoc requests from internal or external parties.
• Become a stakeholder in private credit data integrity and governance framework.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in financial services, private markets, or a related field. Candidates with accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA), finance graduates, or relevant private markets buyside experience are encouraged to apply.
• Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and the ability to read financial statements across sectors.
• Good team player.
• Ability to work autonomously and escalate issues when necessary.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Proficiency in a European language (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
