Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly organised Portfolio Manager to lead governance, reporting and delivery across complex portfolio programs. You will partner with Portfolio Directors, client leadership and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and robust financial oversight.

The role emphasizes integrated governance, data-driven insights (Power BI/Excel) and continuous improvement, with a focus on transparency, risk management and stakeholder engagement to help

Qualifications

• Proven experience in portfolio and/or programme management within real estate, infrastructure or capital projects.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced delivery environments with strong organisation and judgement.
• Accreditation or working knowledge of portfolio/programme management methodologies (MSP/PMI) desirable.
• Experience establishing and maintaining portfolio governance and controls (RAID, tracking, change control).
• Analytical and reporting capabilities with dashboards to support decisions.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for leadership and governance forums.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across teams and executives.
• Experience with financial management activities including forecasting and budgeting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project platforms.

Responsibilities

• Wield portfolio governance, assurance and controls across portfolios and ensure high-quality reporting.
• Lead delivery of small-to-medium scale portfolio management offices and contribute to larger PMO functions.
• Support development and implementation of reporting cycles and data integrity (Power BI/Excel).
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance portfolio performance and governance rigor.
• Engage senior leaders and stakeholders, preparing materials and statuses for governance forums.
• Assist in financial monitoring, budgeting, procurement coordination and contract administration.
