Job title: Portfolio Manager (12 Month FTC)

In the UK, we deliver iconic projects like the M25 motorway, involving complex infrastructure management.

Job description:

We are forming a Joint Venture, Connect Plus Services, to operate and maintain the M25 motorway under a 30-year contract. We seek a Portfolio Manager responsible for overseeing key projects within the M25 community, ensuring effective delivery through team accountability and performance management.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Define project boundaries, responsibilities, and objectives in coordination with other managers and teams, including developing timelines, communication plans, and quality measures.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are understood and met.
  3. Collaborate with other managers to develop staff, share resources, and enhance team performance.
  4. Ensure delivery responsibilities align with annual strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Coordinate supply chain resources to minimize risks and maximize project continuity and value.
  6. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations during project delivery.
  7. Support asset management planning and regional investment strategies through leadership and advice.
  8. Review project costs with senior QS, manage scope changes, and advise on budget adjustments.

Profile:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of construction programs, buildability, and cost management.
  • Experience with NEC contracts.
  • Drive for excellence and leadership qualities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Engineering qualification (preferably Civil Engineering).
  • Understanding of engineering disciplines and a willingness to challenge norms.
  • IT literacy and valid CSCS card.
