Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a porter for the Theatre Portering team at the Lister Hospital. The role involves moving patients by bed, wheelchair and trolley, assisting with medical gases and specimen transport, and supporting theatre operations around the clock.

Job description

A porter post in the Theatre Portering team at the Lister Hospital, one of the sites run by East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. The work centres on moving patients by bed, wheelchair and trolley, changing medical gases, collecting blood products and taking specimens to pathology. The theatre department runs around the clock every day of the year, so the job needs flexibility in shift times. Hospital experience is welcome but not required, as full training is provided.
