NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a part-time Porter/Security at Ayrshire Central Hospital. Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part-time Porter / Security based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
The general role of the porter/security is widely varied and consists of duties such as driving, security – (monitoring CCTV, patrolling premises, locking and securing same, issuing keys). You will assist as a presence in incidents related to violence and aggression and communicate with internal and external bodies.
There will be occasional times when you are required to assist colleagues within the grounds and portering staff with gritting, waste management, delivery & collection of meals/mail/oxygen/supplies to wards and outlying buildings.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You are required to be numerate, literate and practical and have the ability to operate a wide range of vehicles and mechanical & moving aids.

Hours:
Hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday rota.
Early Shift and Back Shift.
A 2 week rota is shared with every other weekend off and working 7 early shifts and 3 back-shifts.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence essential to this role.
