Job summary

Porters required for a home delivery team based in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25 6JH). You will work alongside a Class 2 HGV driver, assisting with safe and timely deliveries to customers and other locations.

This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity with a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, starting at 5:00am, paying £13.09–£19.64 per hour. Physical, hands-on role with ongoing work for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• A good level of physical fitness due to lifting and manual handling.
• A valid DBS check or ability to complete DBS screening.
• Experience in delivery, warehouse or manual handling is advantageous.
• Positive, flexible attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping, with a professional approach.
• Available to work Tuesday to Saturday with 5:00am starts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with approximately 5–15 deliveries per day to customers' homes and other locations.
• Work with a Class 2 HGV driver to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
• Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle.
• Handle and move goods safely at delivery locations.
• Provide face-to-face customer service and represent the company professionally.

Our client is looking for Porters to join their home delivery team based in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25 6JH). You will be working alongside a Class 2 HGV driver, assisting with the safe and timely delivery of products directly to customers' homes and other locations.

This is a Temp-to-Perm position, offering the opportunity for the right candidates to secure a permanent role. You will be working Tuesday to Saturday, with 5am starts, and pay rates ranging from £13.09 to £19.64 per hour.

You will typically assist with between 5 and 15 deliveries per day, depending on the route. This is a hands‑on role involving the lifting, carrying and movement of goods, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.

Successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS check.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Assist with approximately 5–15 deliveries per day to customers' homes and other locations.

• Help ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within the expected timeframes.

What you need to succeed:
