Job summary

We’re seeking a Porter at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus to support day-to-day operations, including setting up rooms, moving equipment, deliveries and campus services. You’ll contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Ideal candidates are practical, reliable, and enjoy diverse tasks within a collaborative team. A full clean driving license is essential, and prior portering or facilities experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moving furniture, equipment, materials and supplies across campus
• Supporting the collection and delivery of post and parcels
• Assisting with stock deliveries and equipment transfers
• Setting up rooms and event spaces for meetings, teaching and special events
• Supporting University events and activities
• Maintaining tidy and safe internal and external areas
• Assisting with waste collection and removal
• Delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors
• Working closely with colleagues across Sodexo and the University
• Following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures at all times

• £13.45ph + excellent benefits
• 40hrs pw Monday to Friday Fixed Term Contract duration 9 months
• Rota Basis 7.30am -15.30pm or 11.30am - 20.00pm
• Full clean driving license essential
• Age 25yrs + due to insurance purposes for driving luton vans
