About The Role

Days of Working: 5 out of 7 days—shifts varied between 7 am to 7 pm. Position requires driving and will be required to work between 2 main buildings: N4 2ES & E9 5TD. A porter is a key support role responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, equipment, and furniture, working across our client sites including hospitals, schools, offices, and universities. Your duties often include setting up rooms, handling deliveries, assisting with minor maintenance, and ensuring spaces are ready for use. Porters help keep operations running smoothly by being adaptable, physically capable, and responsive to the needs of staff and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replacing clock batteries and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.
  • Setting up and rearranging office layouts, including furniture moves.
  • Preparing meeting and conference rooms by connecting laptops, teleconference phones, and other equipment as requested via the Helpdesk.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with site procedures.
Ideal Candidate Criteria
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable, but willingness to learn is equally valued.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices and their importance in the workplace.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks, such as moving furniture and equipment.
