Porter

Location: Leeds LS11 0LR

Days: Monday to Friday

Shift: 18:00 – 00:00 - 30 hours per week

Pay: £12.21 per hour + night shift allowance after 10pm

Job Purpose:

To accurately sort & distribute orders sent into transport into correct van routes/areas.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Safe transfer of load to despatch bay.
2. Correctly sorting and distribution of orders.
3. Correct distribution/storage of trays/bins.
4. Adherence to checking off procedures.
5. Maintain standards in accordance with Health & Safety policy.
6. Damages awareness and procedures.
7. Understanding productivity.
8. Importance of security.
9. Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping.
10. Holiday cover for other porters on Saturday morning.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• High Visual Accuracy
• Basic written communication skills
• Basic Numeracy and Literacy
• Customer care
• Previous warehouse experience (highly desirable)
