Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Portal DevOps Lead to drive reliability, delivery readiness, and operational excellence for portal services. You will meld hands-on engineering across AWS, CI/CD, Linux, and networking with leadership in backlog refinement, user story creation, and release planning.

You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and security teams to prioritise work and coordinate deployments, while ensuring smooth BAU handovers and ongoing production

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and supporting production-grade portal services.
• Ability to translate requirements into engineering tasks and releases.
• Comfortable leading delivery coordination across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and future growth for portal services with cross-functional teams.
• Lead backlog refinement, ensure items are ready for delivery.
• Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, tasks, and deps.
• Prioritise work with product owners, architects, security, and ops.
• Provide hands-on DevOps across AWS, CI/CD, Linux, networking, identity components.
• Manage delivery plans, risks, blockers, and milestones.
• Own release management: planning, environment readiness, deployment, rollback, comms.
• Ensure BAU handover with documentation, monitoring, and escalation paths.
• Support incident investigation, problem management, and service improvement.
• Promote automation, security, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Provide guidance and mentoring while hands-on in implementation.
