Job summary

Forth Ports Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to service, repair and maintain plant equipment across the Dundee operation. You will work under the Mechanical Supervisor, using CMMS to ensure safe, reliable operations at the Port of Dundee and other sites as needed.

The role demands experience with heavy equipment, safe working practices, and the ability to travel to other locations as required, including on-call duties and weekend rosters.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised Apprenticeship with SVQ Level 2.
• Experience in field service and workshop environments.
• Experience of maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical equipment including heavy plant.

Responsibilities

• Undertake safe maintenance and servicing of plant equipment and mechanical systems.
• Repair and service mechanical equipment under supervision and liaise with operations staff.
• Maintain high productivity and quality of work in line with safety procedures.
