Job summary

CLdN is expanding its ro-ro terminal workforce in the United Kingdom. The Cargo Operatives will handle customer cargo on and off ships, operate port equipment, and work within 24/7 operations. Full training provided with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends is required. Prior port or warehouse experience is helpful but not essential. The role includes a pension scheme, sick pay, and a Cycle to Work scheme.

Qualifications

• Motivation to operate port equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Eagerness to learn via full training provided.
• Experience in port or warehouse operations preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate terminal tractors, cranes, and forklifts to move cargo on/off ships and around the port.
• Adhere to port health and safety procedures.
• Use Freight Management System to locate cargo.
• Assist in mooring and unmooring of ships.
