Job summary

The Royal British Legion in Cardiff is seeking a Poppy Appeal Manager to coordinate the annual Poppy Appeal in Cardiff & Gwent. This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) focusing on income targets, supporter relationships, and volunteer development.

You will recruit and induct Organisers, coordinate the launch with PR/media activities, and travel across the region to engage with partners and stakeholders. A UK driving licence is required, with flexible working options possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising or community engagement is desirable.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel within Cardiff & Gwent region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the Poppy Appeal in Cardiff & Gwent.
• Build and manage relationships with supporters, partners and volunteers.
• Recruit, induct and support Poppy Appeal Organisers.
• Plan and launch Poppy Appeal activities including PR and media.
• Travel regularly within the area; occasional overnight trips may be required.
