Job summary

Obscurant Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Quality Control Team Leader based in Poole to drive inspection excellence and ensure customer delivery requirements are met. You will lead seven QC Inspectors, manage daily operations and implement lean QA processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical inspection experience or a relevant apprenticeship.
• Experience with measuring tools and CMM preferable.
• Strong time management and ability to deliver.
• Proven capability to train and support a QC team.
• Clear communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead process improvements.
• Experience with quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the QC team's day-to-day operations.
• Conduct and support daily inspections as required.
• Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies.
• Escalate resourcing concerns to the Lead Process Quality Engineer and propose solutions.
• Support recruitment in line with policy.
• Identify, propose, and implement QC process improvements.
• Set workloads, targets, deadlines, and objectives.
• Monitor competence and performance and coordinate training.
• Manage absence and return-to-work interviews.
• Assist with new product introductions from a QC perspective.
• Manage COSHH requirements and risk assessments.
• Develop inspection measurement skills.
• Identify and justify additional inspection equipment needs.
