Job summary

Haven is seeking a Swimming Pool Shift Leader to guide our on-site team, ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for every guest. You’ll assign tasks, monitor service standards and support colleagues across shifts.

You’ll lead safety checks, enforce rules, handle guest requests with professionalism, and train new team members while adapting to busy periods and weekend/evening demands. An Enhanced DBS check is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Team Leader, or Supervisor preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with safety checks and compliance.
• Ability to act quickly in emergency situations.
• Committed to high-quality, customer-focused service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Enhanced DBS check required prior to starting.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of an energetic team, leading assigned shifts with clear direction and plenty of motivation. You’ll inspire the team to provide fantastic guest experiences and high-quality standards. Plus, you'll make sure everything stays safe, compliant, and on point with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team by assigning tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and motivating the team to deliver excellent service.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of pool equipment and facilities.
• Provide prompt, professional guest service, addressing complaints and special requests.
• Assist in training new team members on company policies and procedures.
• Participate in team duties while stepping up as the shift leader when assigned.

Requirements

• Experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Team Leader, or Supervisor in a leisure, sports or activities setting is preferred.
• Strong leadershipand communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to conducting thorough safety checks, ensuring full compliance with all safety guidelines.
• Ability to maintain focus and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Committed to providing high-quality, customer-focused service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.

• Swimming Pool Technical Operator Qualification (SPTO)
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Training Assessor (NPLQ TA)
