Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a proactive Recreation Assistant Pool at Aireborough Leisure Centre. You will deliver swimming lessons to adults and juniors, support lifeguard duties, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all customers.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.45, with opportunities for training, development, and progression within a large public service. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available subject to service requirements, alongside a clear career

Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons to adult and junior customers.
• Provide lifeguard support and ensure safety of pool users.
• Carry out cleaning and maintenance per centre schedules.
• Administer First Aid when needed and report incidents.
• Support a positive customer experience and be flexible with duties.
