Job description

CK Group is recruiting for a Polymer Technologist on behalf of a leading multinational producer of household plastic products, at their site in Cramlington. This is a permanent position offering a salary up to £35,000 per annum. The company provides excellent opportunities for personal development, career progression, and structured training.

The Role

To contribute to the development of new products and provide technical support to customers. The candidate needs to have an understanding of polymers, resins, and surface coating/decorating technologies (printing, priming, embossing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop existing products and processes.
• Provide technical support and assistance for suppliers, internal and external customers.
• Manage product evaluation and testing as per departmental guidelines.
• Control formulation changes responding to product and process needs.
• Ensure product compliance with regulations and quality standards through specifications and testing procedures.
• Offer technical expertise and support to customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD, etc.) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Material Science is essential.
• Previous industrial or post-graduation experience within the polymer industry.
• Entitlement to work in the UK is mandatory.
