Job summary

Bauer Media Group in Peterborough is seeking a Polish-speaking Reporting Accountant to join Group Finance. You will handle statutory reporting and German GAAP alignment, collaborating with the UK and German teams, auditors and tax advisors.

The role focuses on accurate reporting, process improvement, and close alignment with FP&A and accounting colleagues. Hybrid working in the Peterborough area is offered.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Polish and English is required.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong financial accounting knowledge.
• Proven problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• A degree in business, accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in shared services centres and/or SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities within your designated area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and German GAAP requirements.
• Support accurate management and financial reporting.
• Build relationships with Transactional Accounting, FP&A and other stakeholders.
• Act as a primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and optimise workloads.
• Adapt to new systems, processes and organisational changes.
