Job summary

MJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd in Wales is seeking a Poling Field Manager to coach poling engineers and supervise field teams across telecoms networks. You will ensure safety, quality standards, and adherence to project plans in a busy rural South Wales environment.

The role requires extensive Openreach accreditation knowledge, experience in poling, working at heights, and streetworks qualifications. Hours are 8:00–16:30, with a competitive £40,000–£50,000 salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Poling is essential.
• Hold or have held Openreach overhead and cabling accreditation modules (multiple listed).
• Confident with working at heights and streetworks qualifications.
• IPAF, NPORS and OH/UG accreditations are required.
• HIAB experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, Support and develop the Poling team.
• Raise and follow up on non-conformance reports and ensure actions are closed.
• Join daily conference calls and manage defects and compliance.
• Oversee daily completion rates and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
• Supervise subcontractor crews delivering poling and cabling works on telecom networks.
• Ensure road works signing, lighting, guarding and safety standards are met.
• Conduct site inspections and stock checks as required.
• Investigate accidents, near misses and quality issues.
