Job summary

AIG Europe S.A. (U.K. Branch) & American International Group UK Ltd is seeking a Wording Specialist to support underwriters with policy language and endorsements, ensuring coverage certainty and alignment with underwriting intent.

You will work with Underwriting, Claims and Legal to draft forms, update policy checklists, and contribute to global policy resources. AIG emphasizes in-office collaboration and offers a Total Rewards program and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Written and Oral Communication – 5+ years of policy language analysis and drafting experience; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of UK Property markets and policy forms; experience with admitted and surplus lines is a plus.
• Flexibility to work independently and in cross-functional team environments across disciplines.
• Prioritizing and time management to handle multiple projects and respond promptly.

Responsibilities

• Drive coverage certainty by establishing policy wording guidelines and advising underwriters on best practices.
• Draft manuscript endorsements and create bespoke endorsements to align with underwriting intent.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims and Legal to draft new policy forms and endorsements.
• Develop training to help underwriters understand policy wording and contribute to policy libraries.
