Job summary

Alzheimer's Research UK in Cambridge is seeking a Policy Manager to drive evidence-based policy across government and health sectors. You will join the Policy and Public Affairs team, report to the Head of Policy, and help shape dementia research investment throughout the UK.

You will lead on strategic policy development, manage a small team, and collaborate with government, researchers and health bodies to translate insights into impactful policy outputs.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree Level – or equivalent.
• Experience and success in policy development and influencing change.
• Experience building constructive relationships with stakeholders across multiple organisations.
• Experience writing and reviewing complex policy reports.
• Experience delivering consultation responses and working with government teams.
• Excellent personal communication skills, with ability to communicate with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Increase government investment in dementia research with robust policy proposals.
• Clinical engagement: manage engagement activities and annual clinical conference planning.
• Strengthen patient and public involvement and engagement work across the team.
• Lead work to ensure the ARUK Stats Hub is accurate and supports policy analysis.
• Develop and manage programmes on strategic policy areas to influence national and international bodies.
• Provide expertise on evidence and policy context to deliver innovative policy ideas.
